Hey yall! I am so happy to be back and to be able to tell you all about a brand that I really love and i’m hoping that you fall will in love with too. Coloured Raine is a woman of color owned indie makeup brand. The owner, Loraine, is a hardworking business woman with a true vision and passion for makeup. If you’re tired of supporting corporations who don’t believe in diversity and inclusiveness, then check out Coloured Raine’s products.

“The mission behind the brand has always been to spread awareness of diversity through beauty and to embrace all aspects of color through unity.”
Coloured Raine sells products ranging from eyelashes to eyeshadows, lipsticks, glosses, and pigments. AND they are coming out with a whole range of foundation shades later this year! The products I own include the Queen of Hearts palette, 7 different liquid lipsticks, Candy Cane Raine sponge set, the Bossy lash kit, and the Book of Shades Eyeshadow organizer.

Eyeshadow
The Queen of Hearts palette is a 12 pan eyeshadow palette that offers 6 matte shades and 6 foil shades. The matte shades are mostly easy to work with, the shade ‘Ladyship’ I had a bit of a hard time blending out but the others blend very well when I use them. The foil shades are AMAZINGLY smooth and pigmented and I love using them both on the lid and in my inner corner. I challenged myself to come up with 3 unique looks using this palette solely for this blog post. The pictures shown below are the result of that.

Lipstick
The liquid lipstick formula is comfortable to wear and not feel drying at all. There is also a great range of different nude colors that look beautiful on all skin tones. In the swatches below, you can see what the shades look like on someone with my skin tone. If you would like to see what Coloured Raine products look like on a deeper skin tone, my friend Erica is a lip swatch queen and always posts Coloured Raine products on her pages. You can find her on Instagram and Twitter!

(shade names left to right) Caramel, Nude, Mars, Butterscotch, Roulette, Bubblegum, Cherry Blossom

Lashes
I am a HUGE sucker for eyelashes, especially long beautiful lashes. So when I received the Bossy lash kit, which includes a pair of lashes, tweezers, an eyelash curler, and small scissors, I was SO excited. The lashes are absolutely beautiful and wispy and they have been my go to pair whenever I need to pop on a quick lash while doing my makeup. The other products in the kit are all a beautiful shade of purple and made of a really nice quality metal that just feels like it came from a luxury brand, even though they are reasonably priced.

Other Products
The Book of Shades eyeshadow organizer is an innovative take on the usual magnetic eyeshadow palette. The organizer can fit up to 72 different single eyeshadows inside and includes a mirror, which is a huge plus. I have yet to depan my eyeshadow palettes and put all of the singles into my organizer, but I cant wait to finally try it out! Coloured Raine has their own range of sponges with the cutest and most unique names. I have the collection that came out during Christmas called the Candy Cane Raine sponges. There is one green and one red sponge and they both have a white candy cane like swirl on them. When I tell you these are the SOFTEST sponges I have ever used on my face, I mean it! I use these sponges almost every day to apply my foundation.

Coloured Raine is one of those amazing brands that chooses to work with smaller creators like myself. They truly see the hard work that we put in everyday. I really appreciate brands like that and I am so honored that they wanted to work with me on this blog post. If you’re interested, you can follow them on instagram and twitter to keep up with new product launches (like the foundation launch!!). Of course the products that I shared today are just a small amount compared to everything else that Coloured Raine has to offer. I urge you to check out their website, and shop around for yourself. Who knows, maybe you will fall in love with their products too! Don’t forget if you are shopping on their website for some new products to use code LANEY at checkout for 10% off your order!
